These terms are the agreement between you and Autonetix Systems (PTY) LTD, trading as Thrivi, for the use of the Thrivi quoting and invoicing service at thrivi.autonetix.co.za. Please read them. By creating an account you agree to them, and they become a binding contract between us.

Telephone: 010 745 8995
Web: www.autonetix.co.za

1. The words we use

“We”, “us”, “Thrivi”
Autonetix Systems (PTY) LTD, trading as Thrivi.
“You”, “the customer”
The business that opens the account, and everyone who signs in under it.
“The service”
The Thrivi software, the website it runs on, and the documents and emails it produces.
“Your data”
Everything you put into the service or that it generates for you — your clients, products, quotes, invoices, credit notes, payments and settings.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date.
  • Each person who uses the service needs their own login. Logins may not be shared, and the service signs an account out of one device when it is used on another.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your logins, and for keeping passwords safe. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
  • The person who registers the account is its administrator, and may add or remove users. Adding users beyond your package costs extra, as set out below.
  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.

3. The free trial

New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card required. If you do not choose a package before the trial ends, the account is locked until you do. Your data is kept and becomes available again as soon as you choose a package. A trial is never charged for.

4. Packages, prices and payment

  • Package prices are shown on our pricing page and include VAT where VAT applies.
  • You are billed monthly in advance. The day you first pay becomes your billing day, and your card is charged on that day each month.
  • Payments are handled by PayFast. We never see or store your full card number. By choosing a package you authorise us to charge that card each month until you cancel.
  • Extra users beyond the number included in your package are charged per user per month at the rate shown when you add them.
  • If a payment fails we will retry it and let you know. If it remains unpaid, the account is paused until it is settled. Your data is not deleted when an account is paused.
  • We may change prices. We will tell you at least one calendar month in advance, and the new price applies from your next billing day after that notice. If you do not accept the change you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancelling

You may cancel at any time from your billing page or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not refund the unused part of a month.

We may suspend or close an account that does not pay, that breaks these terms, or that is used unlawfully. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

6. What you may not do

  • Use the service unlawfully, or to send documents or email that are fraudulent, misleading or unsolicited in bulk.
  • Try to break into, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or work around its limits and licensing.
  • Resell or rent access to the service, or use it on behalf of another business as if it were their own account, without our written agreement.
  • Upload anything containing malware, or anything you do not have the right to use.

7. Your data belongs to you

Your data stays yours. We store and process it only to run the service for you, to support you when you ask, and where the law requires it. You can export your clients, products and documents at any time from within the service.

We keep your data for 90 days after an account is cancelled, so you can come back or ask for a copy. After that it is deleted from our live systems. Backups age out on their own cycle. If you want your data deleted sooner, email us and we will do it.

8. Privacy and POPIA

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. In the language of that Act, you are the responsible party for the client information you put into Thrivi, and we are your operator: we act on your instructions and do not use your clients' information for our own purposes.

What we collect

  • About you: your name, email address, company details, and what you do in the service (an audit record of sign-ins and changes).
  • About your clients: whatever you enter — typically a name, contact details and what you invoiced them for.
  • Technical: IP address, browser, and session information, kept to keep the service secure and working.
  • Payment: handled by PayFast. We hold a token that lets us charge your card, never the card number itself.

Why we collect it — to provide the service, to bill you, to support you, to keep the service secure, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it — only the suppliers who help us run the service: our hosting provider, PayFast for payments, and our email provider for sending your documents. Each is bound to protect it.

Your rights — you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@autonetix.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

If personal information in our care is compromised, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as the Act requires.

9. Keeping the service running

We work to keep Thrivi available and back it up, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may need to interrupt the service for maintenance, and will give notice where it is practical. We are not responsible for failures of the internet, your own equipment, or services we depend on and do not control.

10. Your documents are your responsibility

Thrivi calculates VAT and totals from what you enter and the settings you choose. Checking that your quotes, invoices, credit notes and VAT treatment are correct before you send them is your responsibility. We are not your accountant, and nothing in the service is tax or legal advice.

11. Limits on our liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited in law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies to you.

Otherwise: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss of data beyond restoring from our most recent backup. Where we are liable, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us for the service in that period.

12. Changing these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the service before it takes effect, and record which version you accepted. Carrying on using Thrivi after that means you accept the new terms.

13. General

  • These terms are the whole agreement between us about the service.
  • If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still stands.
  • Not enforcing a term at some point does not mean we give it up.
  • You may not transfer this agreement to someone else without our written agreement. We may transfer it if our business is sold, and will tell you.
  • These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
  • Notices to you go to the email address on your account; notices to us go to info@autonetix.co.za.

14. Talk to us

Most problems are quicker to sort out than to argue about. Before taking a dispute further, please contact us and give us a fair chance to put it right.
